Paramount Pictures is an American film production and distriubution company situated in Hollywood. It was founded in 1912 and was one of the very first national distributors. It is currently owned by media congomerate Viacom.
The founder of paramount pictures, Adolph Zucker found that movies in that period of time mainly appealed to working class immigrants. Zucker aimed to offer feature-length films that would appeal to the middle class by featuring well known leading theatrical player of that period of time. In 1912 the company was known as famous players studios.
Paramount Pictures is the producer and distributer of the thriller; Paranormal Activity which is so popular has three different sequels to the grip taking phsycological thriller.
Paramount pictures also prouduce and distribute films for children as they work with nickeloden movies to prouduce films such as The Last Airbender.
I think that paramount pictures would be a good distributor for our opening to a thriller as the company is well known and has a good reputation. As well as it has the right sources to advertise the thriller before it actually comes out, and as the company is nation wide therefore, there is acess to people all over the world.
